We are delighted to have our art exhibited at the Local Information Centre in Bingham House, located on the ground floor in the Market Place, Cirencester. The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for our talented students to showcase their artwork to the local community. Please visit Bingham House if you get the opportunity and look at our artwork. Artwork can be purchased for a minimum donation of £5.00; we will be updating the exhibition as artworks are sold.
So excited that our OFSTED report went live today. https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/25/147158 All of the staff and pupils have worked really hard and showed the inspectors what an amazing school Paternoster is. From an inadequate judgement in 2018 to GOOD in all areas! “Pupils want to come to school, they like learning and are well prepared for the next stage of their lives…”
This term we started celebrating our new values. At Paternoster we CARE – Courage, Ambition, Respect and Enjoyment. Thank you to all the parents, pupils and staff for helping us to choose the new values that really show what learning at Paternoster is all about.
A big ‘Thank You’, to all the staff, families and members of our community who made the fete on Saturday a massive success. The rain didn’t stop us and everyone had a great time. The amazing setting up and clean up crew also need to be mentioned. We raised just over £1300!
Paternoster staff, pupils and parents managed to dodge the raindrops to take part in our sports days races. We showed our skills on the obstacle course and all came away with trophies! Some of our pupils enjoyed an indoor sports day in the hall and showed parents the exciting skills and activities we take part in at Paternoster.
An amazing day was had by all of the 92 people who attended our school Legoland visit. A BIG thankyou to Happy Days for funding this experience for our young people and families and to all the staff that made this possible. Please view the gallery for more pictures of this day.
Following the family of robins leaving the nest (in our minibus) we have found more new pupils at Paternoster today. Two hedgehogs were carefully moved to a safe space on the school site. Outside the hydrotherapy pool was a bit too busy for them! The senior pupils will be making sure they have a house a suitable escape ramp, should the hedgehogs find themselves stuck again.
On Friday 5th May, pupils and staff at Paternoster celebrated King Charles’ coronation with a crown parade. We also planted an apple tree in our sensory garden
Some of the pupils from Cirencester Primary School came to visit Paternoster School. They had a great time trying out different sports with the Paternoster pupils.
Paternoster School News Parent voice contributes to a thriving school support is much valued Well, what a year! As I look back and reflect on the past year, I am amazed at what another challenging year it has been. Between March and April, we saw our highest numbers of Covid-19 in school but I am proud that our pupils have continued to attend school and achieve their best. I would like to thank you, our families, who have continued to support us throughout the year. I would like to share some good news from our school improvement partner, Deirdre Fitzpatrick,...
The pupils at Paternoster had a fantastic World Book Day on 2nd March. We dressed as our favourite book characters and went to each class in the school to take part in different Roahl Dahl themed activities.
Paternoster School launched their Daily Mile today with the help of Lisi from Active Gloucestershire. The Daily Mile involves a daily (or almost daily) session of 15 mins, running and walking – building up to running for the whole time. More importantly, it’s a great opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise and to chat with friends.
