December 2023 Update

We had a great first term back for 2023 – 2024. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Jo Roberts and Paula Ntim-Adjei. We look forward to a fantastic academic year with their valuable contributions to our school community. In January they will be joined by Emma Grant and Lucie Gardner to extend our teaching team. We said farewell to Kat Marshall and Ellie Briggs and wish them well.

There were lots of great events in Terms 1 and 2, not exclusive to: Parent Voice group (23/10/23) was attended by 8 parents; November Parents’ Evening was well attended; Our Moving On Event featured stakeholders from GCC, SBC, and WCC to discuss future plans and collaborations for pupils looking for Post-16 provision; The November Coffee Morning with a continence nurse, providing valuable information and support.

Our Christmas Market successfully raised £1600, contributing to school initiatives and activities and the Christmas Play (a Circus event) was well-attended by approximately 80 parents, showcasing the festive spirit within the school community.

And, of course, Paternoster was judged to be GOOD in all areas in our October full inspection!

Thank you to all parents for your continued support and participation.

General School and Site updates:

Over the summer holidays we will be having repair works carried out on the car park.

Our white minibus is now past its usable lifespan for the school. We are looking to fund a new people carrier to support our young people to continue to access all the off-site provision they currently enjoy.

covid-19 update

UPDATE from Gloucestershire County Council: Free school meal vouchers

Parents and carers who want to apply for a free school meal voucher can now do so via our online form – forms.gloucestershire.gov.uk/FreeSchoolMeals

To make it quicker to apply by phone, we have tripled the number of people answering and returning calls, to more than 30. The number to call is 01452 328518. If all lines are busy you will be able to leave your name and number on the voicemail service for someone to call you back.

To make sure payments are made as quickly as possible, normally the next day, the company issuing the vouchers for us have doubled the people they have processing requests.
